There are 3 parts to this final project. I went with a minimalist design for each of the portfolios to keep the focus on the content.
This is a redesign to the main page on deived.com. The box links are like doorways taking you into the other areas of the web site. I like black and red color schemes so that's what I went with here.
The symmetrical design of the portfolio is to illustrate the balance between artistic style and usablity needed for a functional design. I chose a brown color scheme because I feel like it is an often overlooked color.
The black and green colors are supposed to be reminiscent of the old black and green text monitors of the past. I went with a sans-serif font for the main text for ease of reading, while making the header texts in a monospace font to give a feeling of the text editors that many programmers use.
